VR25: Completed

Completed VR25 this week. These were the longest distances I've done in an Ironman VR event -- the long run was, in fact, the longest run I've ever done. Glad to be done. VR26 is a 'taper' week.

Another Ironman VR completed -- VR23.  1.5km run; 50km bike; 12km run.  This is my longest run to date.

What a week! Completed V22 and did my longest bike ride ever (100km).  It was hard, but I didn't feel as painful the next few days as I expected.  I did a short run the day after for recovery.

Ironman Kona Series

Ironman announced their Kona Series of virtual reality races.  These races have varying distances (or times).  I plan on participating in all of them -- except for the last one.  (The last one is just too long.). I'm grateful to the Ironman crew for these VR races.

I'll treat the smaller of the runs as my short run and generally run without worrying about my BPM.

Also, it occurs to me that having my two bike rides on the weekend may not be the best strategy. Once this VR series is completed and I return to regular training, I'll look at shuffling my schedule.

Edit (9/3/20): I'm going to start shuffling my schedule. I'm going to split the biking apart (long bikes on Thursday & on the weekend).  Hopefully, that'll give me more time to recover. I should've implemented this before.
