Mission Statement

I've been successful in losing a bunch of weight (over 80+ pounds) in the course of two years.  I ate better; did much more walking; and went to CKO Madison.

The ball really started rolling with the step counter on my iPhone.  In the summer of 2019, I decided to walk 20K steps at least one day of the week.  For me, more tracking led to more results.  Now I have an Apple Watch and a Garman Forerunner 935 and feed my results to Strava.  I also use MyFitnessPal to track calories.  See more of my resources.  See also a discussion of my weight loss here.

This blog is intended to document my training to do a sprint triathlon.  I was originally planning on doing one in 2020.  But this quickly became the year of social distancing, so I think I'll have to wait until next year.

Why?  Not exactly sure.  It's mostly a "why not".
